Kinesiology and somatic practice
My kinesiology practices have been both immersive and theoretical. Dnce 360 a class on dance kinesiology provided a framework to learn the different mechanism of the body which included topics such as skeletal, spine, muscular systems one of the mechanisms that stood out to me was that of upper and lower extremities .Specially the connection of hips and pelvis griddle and how that connects the two extremities of the body. i was learning more than one traditional style such as hula, balinese dance, tahitian dance where i was able to immerse myself in learning these mechanisms. This knowledge helped me to embody the styles more quickly.
